Apply via Dice today!Position: .NET DeveloperLocation: Middletown, CT (Hybrid – 2 Days Onsite)Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyze existing legacy applications and Microsoft Access databases to support modernization and migration efforts. Design, develop, enhance, and maintain web applications using C#, ASP.NET, and .NET Core/.NET 6+ technologies. Develop and support front-end applications using Angular. Convert and migrate Microsoft Access-based applications and databases to modern web-based platforms. Build and maintain APIs, services, and integrations with internal and external systems. Participate in application architecture discussions and modernization planning. Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Create technical documentation, design specifications, and migration strategies. Perform unit testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization. Support deployment activities and production issue resolution. Follow established SDLC, coding standards, security requirements, and change management processes. Assist in leveraging Microsoft Power Platform solutions where appropriate to improve business processes. Required QualificationsBachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience). 5+ years of software development experience. Strong experience with: C# ASP.NET .NET Core / .NET 5+ / .NET 6+ SQL Server Recent hands-on experience with Angular development. Experience developing, supporting, or migrating Microsoft Access databases and applications. Experience working on legacy system modernization or migration projects. Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies. Experience with RESTful APIs and system integrations. Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Preferred QualificationsExperience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI). Experience working within government, public-sector, or highly regulated environments. Knowledge of Azure cloud services. Experience with Entity Framework. Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines. Experience with source control tools such as Git or Azure DevOps. Understanding of application security best practices.
