ID Scanner

We are currently hiring for an ID Scanner position. The role is part time, every Friday and Saturday, from 3pm - midnight. As an ID Scanner, you will be the first point of contact for guests coming to the Concorde Espresso Bar. Your role involves verifying that all patrons are 21+, monitoring the premises, managing entry and exit points, and handling any issues that arise to maintain a safe and orderly environment. Key Responsibilities: Access Control: Check identification to verify the age of patrons, enforce entry policies, and manage guest lists. Conflict Resolution: Address and de-escalate conflicts, handle disturbances, and deny entry to unruly or intoxicated individuals in a professional manner. Customer Service: Provide a welcoming and respectful atmosphere, addressing guest inquiries and concerns with professionalism. Collaboration: Work closely with other staff and management, ensuring a welcoming environmnet. Reporting: Report any significant issues or breaches of policy to management. Qualifications: Previous experience in security or a similar role is preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to handle difficult situations calmly and effectively. Physical fitness and ability to stand for long periods, patrol the premises, and handle physical confrontations if necessary. Knowledge of local laws and regulations related to security and safety. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive situations discreetly. Certification in first aid or CPR is a plus. Working Conditions: Night shifts, weekends, and holidays may be required. High-energy, sometimes high-pressure environment. Potential for exposure to challenging or confrontational situations.
