Swiss CNC Machinist 2nd Shift

Job Description E.J. Basler Co. is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented 2nd shift CNC Swiss Machinist to join our precision manufacturing team. In this role, you’ll operate and set up CNC lathe machines to produce high-quality parts according to exact specifications. This is a great opportunity for someone with hands-on lathe machining experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-focused environment.Key Responsibilities:Set up and operate CNC Swiss lathes to perform drilling, boring, reaming, milling, and tapping operationsLoad bar feeders or manually load bar stock and castingsMonitor machine operations and tool wear; make tooling adjustments as necessaryPerform in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, and bore gaugesSubmit completed parts for final inspection and complete necessary documentationReplace, reset, and sharpen tools as neededMaintain machine fluids and ensure cleanliness of equipment using 5S principlesCollaborate with team members and assist less experienced operators when neededFollow all company safety protocols and report any issues to supervisorsQualifications:High school diploma or GED preferredMinimum 1 year of experience operating CNC Swiss-type or CNC lathe equipmentAbility to read mechanical drawings and interpret work ordersFamiliarity with shop math and G-code basicsProficient with measuring tools and able to perform quality checksStrong attention to detail and safetyPhysical Requirements:Must be able to lift 20–50 lbs occasionally and 10–25 lbs frequentlyRegular use of hands and arms; ability to focus on close-range tasksStanding, stooping, kneeling, and crouching throughout the shiftWork Environment:Loud manufacturing setting with exposure to moving mechanical parts, oils, coolants, and fumesPPE (safety glasses, gloves, ear protection) required at all timesWhy Join Us?Hourly Rate: $17.00 – $37.00 per hour (Commensurate with experience)Health & Wellness: Comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance.Financial Security: 401(k) retirement savings plan and Life Insurance.Work-Life Balance: Vacation and Paid Holidays.Additional Perks: Disability insurance (Short-term & Long-term) and Pre-tax spending account.ITAR Compliance Requirement To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
