Machine Operator 1st Shift
1st Shift: 8am - 4:30pm

We currently have an opening for a Material Handler/Machine Operator position.
Responsibilities:
Ability to lift and carry 60 - 70 pounds of dry ingredients to machines and workstations.
Weigh or measure materials and products, using scales or other measuring instruments to meet product and/or process specifications.
Move materials and products to facilitate optimal production flow and mitigate any efficiencies or downtime.
Record production data such as lot codes, weights, quantities, and storage locations of materials, as well as equipment performance problems and downtime.
Inform supervisors/leads of equipment malfunctions that need to be addressed.
Clean, sterilize, and maintain equipment, machinery, and work stations, using hand tools, shovels, brooms, chemicals, hoses, and lubricants.
Observe bin/auger operations and monitor to maintain specified operating levels and to detect equipment malfunctions.
Read production schedules, and confer with supervisors, to determine timing of delivery of materials.
Prepare materials to meet product and/or process specifications.
Contact workers in work stations or other departments to request movement of materials, products, or machinery, or to notify them of incoming materials and their estimated delivery times.
Stop equipment or machinery and clear jams, using poles, bars, and hand tools, or remove materials from bin/auger as needed.
Load, unload, or adjust materials by hand, by using lifts, hoists, and scoops, or by opening gates, chutes, or hoppers.
All employees have the responsibility to report food safety problems to their supervisor/lead or someone with authority to initiate action.
All employees shall identify any risk of intentional harm to the facility, personnel or products. All employees have the responsibility to report unauthorized persons to their Supervisor/Lead or a Manager who will challenge the individual and/or escort them from the site.
Teamwork: may be asked to cover teammates machine while they go on break or lunch
Required Skills:

Must be able to lift up to 60 -70 pounds
Must be able to stand for long periods of time
Must be able to climb stairs as needed for some machines
