Job Description & RequirementsSpecialty:Pathologists' Assistant Discipline:Allied Health Professional Start Date:05/13/2026 Duration:13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift:8 hours, days Employment Type:TravelTravel Pathologists’ Assistant (PA) – Surgical Pathology Location:Newnan, GA Contract Length:13 Weeks Schedule:Monday–Friday | 9:30 AM – 6:00 PMYou will join a highly engaged, collaborative laboratory team dedicated to diagnostic excellence in cancer care.Key Responsibilities Performgross examination and dissectionof large, complex surgical specimens Perform gross examination and dissection ofsmall biopsies Section surgical pathology specimens and prepare tissues for processing Accession, receive, label, and fix specimens accurately Performtumor triageand obtain samples forflow cytometry Cut and stainfrozen sectionsusing a cryostat Assist withbone marrow collections Utilize specialized equipment includingcryostat and bone saw Document procedures inEpic(preferred) Collaborate closely with pathologists to support accurate oncologic diagnoses Required Qualifications Minimum 1 year Pathologists’ Assistant experience(REQUIRED) Experience in ahospital clinical laboratory setting Demonstrated proficiency in:Grossing complex and small specimens Specimen accessioning and fixation Frozen section preparation Tumor triage and flow cytometry samplingAbility to work independently and as part of a collaborative lab teamAbout Hanker Systems IncHealthcare staffing at Hanker Systems Inc is focused on delivering the right talent to support quality patient care.
