About the JobSignal & Strand is partnering with a women’s apparel brand focused on delivering trend-right product with a strong emphasis on fit, quality, and consistency across a high-volume assortment.This role sits within Technical Design and partners closely with Production, Buying, and Development to bring products from concept through production readiness. With a monthly cadence of ~70+ styles, this position plays a critical role in ensuring garments are executed with precision at scale.The MandateOwn the fit process from development through pre-production across a high-volume pipelineEnsure consistency in fit, construction, and quality across categoriesPartner cross-functionally to translate design intent into production-ready garmentsIdentify and mitigate risks related to fit, quality, and manufacturingKey ResponsibilitiesMeasure samples from proto through pre-production and prepare for fittingsEvaluate garment construction and quality relative to category and fabricationLead fit sessions independently on live models and dress formsIdentify fit, balance, and construction issues and communicate clear, actionable feedbackDocument fit comments using written and visual tools to support vendor executionPartner with cross-functional teams to align on fit intent and product expectationsFlag potential risks related to production, costing, or quality and recommend solutionsMaintain communication with domestic and overseas vendors, including real-time collaboration when neededTrack workflow, manage timelines, and ensure alignment with production calendarsSupport process improvements to drive efficiency and consistency in fitIdeal Profile4+ years of experience in technical design, patternmaking, or apparel developmentStrong understanding of garment construction, fit, and pattern execution across categoriesExperience leading fit sessions and communicating decisions clearly across teamsAbility to manage a high-volume workload in a deadline-driven environmentProficiency in Adobe Illustrator or PhotoshopWorking knowledge of Google Suite or Microsoft Office tools; experience working within ERP systems such as NetSuite is a plusHigh attention to detail with strong organizational skillsComfort working cross-functionally and with global vendorsProduct ScopePrimary focus on dresses, with additional exposure to tops (knit and woven) and bottoms (knit and woven)Location & Work ModelDowntown Los Angeles, CAOn-siteCompensation$80,000 – $88,000 base salary + 8% bonus potentialFull benefits package
