SUMMARY: A Food & Beverage Cashier handles sales transaction within a Food & Beverage Outlet. They work at the front of the outlet greeting guests walking in, answering any questions and promoting the outlets services. Ensuring correct meal prices are being charged, accepting payments and administering receipts while giving the correct change, getting signatures, ensuring correct room numbers are in for room charges and retrieving any behind the counter food and/or drinks.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.Professionally greeting all guestsAccurately take food and drink ordersPrepare food or drinks when applicableCheck IDs, use jiggers, and follow resort responsible serving policy if applicable to specific position responsibilitiesABC Permits and yearly Responsible Serving Classes are required as neededReceiving accurate room numbers for any room charges, retrieving signatures for all credit card & room chargesHanding back accurate change.Responsible for rotating bank signed out as well as being responsible for any shortages of the bank that may occurMaintaining lobby cleanliness as well as adequately stocking plastic ware, cups, lids, condiments, etc.Completing and submitting commissary orders at proper timesComplete weekly cleaning lists and daily check lists before ending any shiftEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Level 2Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.LANGUAGE SKILLS: Level 1Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Level 1Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.REASONING ABILITY: Level 1Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
