Senior DevSecOps Engineer

In this role, you will strengthen and automate our DevSecOps practices to support cloud-based application development. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to secure and streamline development, testing, and release processes. You will champion infrastructure as code and containerized deployments at scale, delivering secure, reliable software delivery. This position offers impact across federal-facing projects and a chance to mentor peers while driving continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Establish development tools and infrastructure for automation
- Understand stakeholder needs and translate them to development
- Automate and improve development, testing, deployment, and release processes
- Test and review code and analyze results
- Ensure systems are secure against cybersecurity threats
- Perform root cause analysis and implement fixes
- Collaborate with developers to enforce established processes
- Support cloud applications or infrastructure via infrastructure as code and automated deployments
- Document current state, perform gap analyses, and articulate options
- Leverage virtualization and containerization to modernize systems
- Act as individual contributor and mentor junior members
- Drive continuous improvement of DevSecOps processes and tools
- Present status updates and provide cross-training to the team
- Engineer and implement improvements for provided services
Key requirements:
Ability to obtain a U.S. government Security Clearance Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience 3 years of cloud experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP)3 years of Git SCM experience (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket)3 years of programming or scripting experience 3 years of DevSecOps experience in an Agile environment 3 years of Docker and Kubernetes experience xaygatp 3 years of infrastructure as code and orchestration experience 3 years of CI/CD pipeline development (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, CircleCI, TravisCI)3 years of integrating deployments with DevSecOps tooling Experience integrating test automation (performance, security, functional) into CI/CD pipelines Excellent written and verbal communication Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, GCPGit SCM providers: GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket Programming/scripting languages Docker containers and Kubernetes
