Peel Wood Fired Pizza is looking for a strong, hands-on Kitchen Manager to lead our Clayton kitchen team. If you thrive in a high-energy environment, take pride in scratch cooking, and know how to motivate a team while maintaining standards, we want to meet you.
The Kitchen Manager works with the Executive Chef overseeing all back-of-house operations, ensuring food quality, consistency, sanitation, and team performance. This role is both strategic and hands-on — you’ll be leading shifts, coaching staff, managing costs, and maintaining our standards daily.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage all back-of-house team members
Maintain high food quality and presentation standards
Manage food and labor costs to meet budget targets
Oversee inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations
Train, develop, and hold kitchen staff accountable
Foster a positive, high-performance team culture
Qualifications
2+ years of kitchen management experience in a high-volume restaurant
Strong leadership and team development skills
Experience managing food and labor costs
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
Passion for hospitality and quality food
