This role is responsible for the safe and efficient application of coatings — including adhesives, sealers, and other finishing materials — to cabinet components and wood products. The ideal candidate takes pride in consistent, quality output, follows safety procedures without exception, and can monitor and adjust an automated system to maintain production standards.WHAT YOU’LL DO:Set up, start, and operate the automated flat-line coating machine at the beginning of each shift according to standard procedures.Load cabinet parts and wood components onto the infeed conveyor; unload and stage finished parts at the outfeed.Mix and prepare coating materials (adhesives, sealers, primers, or finishes) according to product specifications and mix ratios.Monitor coating application throughout the production run, inspecting for coverage, consistency, and adhesion quality.Adjust machine parameters — including conveyor speed, spray pressure, and material flow — to maintain output quality.Replenish coating materials as needed; track and record material usage accurately.Perform daily equipment cleaning, including spray guns, nozzles, conveyor belts, and collection trays.Carry out routine preventive maintenance tasks and report equipment malfunctions or irregularities to the supervisor promptly.Inspect finished components for defects and set aside non-conforming parts for review.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.Follow all safety rules, OSHA regulations, and company policies, including proper use of PPE.Document production data, material usage, and machine settings accurately in shift logs.Communicate production status, material needs, and any issues to the team lead or supervisor.Perform other duties as assigned.Adhere to safety guidelines.WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:JOB REQUIRMENTS:Minimum 1 year of experience operating automated or semi-automated manufacturing equipment.Ability to read and follow written and verbal work instructions in English.Basic math skills; ability to measure and mix materials accurately.Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to coating materials and chemical agents.Must be able to wear and properly use required PPE, including respirator, safety glasses, and gloves.Preferred:Experience operating a flat-line spray system or similar automated coating equipment.Background in cabinet, furniture, or wood products manufacturing.Familiarity with two-component adhesive systems or industrial coating materials.Experience performing basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.High school diploma or GED.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Ability to stand and walk for the duration of an 8–10 hour shift.Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials up to 50 pounds.Regularly required to bend, stoop, reach, and perform repetitive hand and arm movements.Good hand-eye coordination; corrected vision acceptable.Must be able to wear a respirator as required.WORK ENVIRONMENT:Manufacturing facility; not air-conditioned.Regular exposure to wood dust, coating materials, adhesives, and solvents.Moderate to high noise levels; hearing protection may be required.PPE required: safety glasses, respirator, and chemical-resistant gloves at minimum.Work performed around moving conveyor equipment and automated machinery.***COMPANY BENEFITS OFFERED!!***· Great culture with dedicated team!· Health, Dental and Vision benefits (Month following 60 day waiting period)· Ability to accrue 10 vacation days per year (After 90 day assessment period) increases with tenure· Ability to accrue 10 sick days per year (After 90 day assessment period)· 8 PAID Holidays per year (After 90 day assessment period)· Company 401(k) match for your Retirement Savings including ESOP Options· COMPANY PAID Life & AD&D Insurance Coverage· COMPANY PAID Short Term Disability and Optional Long-Term Disability· Health & Dependent Flexible Spending Accounts available· Wellness Programs, Resources and Tools· Option to elect additional Life Insurance for yourself, spouse, child(ren)· Cabinet Discounts· Opportunities to work overtimeCabinets 2000 provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.
