This role supports financial reconciliation, reporting, invoice processing, compliance, and business enterprise system utilization to ensure strong internal controls and timely, accurate program financials.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as an SME for department systems and support system integration/implementation efforts.Reconcile financial accounts and reports, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues promptly to maintain controls.Prepare and/or review assigned financial statements, reports, and analyses; investigate and resolve variances.Support the accrual process, including:Journal entriesDebit/credit memosPreparation, routing for approval, and maintaining/reconciling related logsApprove/release invoices in accordance with accounting procedures and direction from the Finance Manager.Prepare and/or review vendor files and supporting documentation for vendor payments; communicate with vendors as needed.Assist in processing general contractor payment analysis.Collaborate closely with the accounting team and other department stakeholders on bond program financial tasks.Evaluate and ensure bond compliance related to accounting, reporting, and invoice/payment processes.Lead assigned tasks/projects to successful completion and support additional bond-related assignments as directed.Minimum QualificationsRequired Experience3–5 years of experience in accounting, finance, or related fieldsBachelor’s degree in business or a related degreeExperience working with business enterprise or accounting systemsExperience performing historical trend analysis and interpreting resultsExperience creating monthly financial reports and analyzing resultsAbility to work independently and in a team environmentAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication and presentation skills with all levels of an organizationAbility to lead projects to successful conclusionIntermediate proficiency in Excel, MS Word, and PowerPointPreferred QualificationsBond program experienceConstruction program experienceCostpoint and/or Proliance experienceWorking Hours & Location: Full-time, exempt role with standard business hours.
