Engineering Summer InternPurpose:Valkyrie Enterprises is seeking highly motivated Engineering Summer Interns to support ongoing efforts in engineering, analysis, and program operations in Huntsville, AL.Interns will have the opportunity to contribute to real-world projects supporting flight testing, advanced weapons systems, and national security initiatives, while working alongside experienced professionals across government and industry.This is a hands-on opportunity for students who want exposure to meaningful work—not just observation.What We're Looking ForStudents who are curious, motivated, and willing to learnIndividuals who take initiative and ask good questionsPeople who want to contribute—not just observeTeam players who are comfortable in a fast-moving environmentJob Description:Potential Areas of WorkDepending on background and interest, interns may support: Engineering & Technical AnalysisData analysis related to flight tests or system performanceModeling, simulation, or technical assessmentsSupporting test planning or post-test analysisOperations & Program SupportAssisting with program coordination and execution activitiesSupporting scheduling, tracking, and reporting effortsContributing to briefings and documentationTest & Integration SupportExposure to flight test planning and execution processesSupporting integration activities across teams and stakeholdersAssisting with lessons learned and analysis effortsWhat You'll GainExposure to real-world national security programsExperience working in a fast-paced, mission-driven environmentDirect interaction with engineers, analysts, and senior leadersOpportunity to contribute to meaningful, high-impact workInsight into careers in defense, aerospace, and advanced systemsQualifications: Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in:Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, etc.)Mathematics, Physics, or Operations ResearchBusiness, Management, or related field (for operations roles)Must have a strong academic performance.Must have strong communication and problem-solving skills.Must have the ability to work in a team environment and take initiative.Desired QualificationsInterest in national security, defense, or aerospace systems, preferred.Experience with tools such as Excel, MATLAB, Python, or similar, preferred.Exposure to engineering, analysis, or program management concepts, preferred.U.S. Citizenship required; ability to obtain a security clearance preferredSecurity Requirements: Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.Travel Requirements: Occasional Travel- 25%Physical Requirements:Remaining in a stationary position.Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to anotherCommunicating with others to exchange informationRepeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds.Valkyrie strictly adheres to a policy of equal employment opportunity.
