We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant who is comfortable working directly with patients and assisting providers during both clinic visits and procedures.Position SummaryThe Medical Assistant will support providers with patient care, clinical documentation, and procedure preparation. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and able to keep pace in a high-volume specialty practice.Key ResponsibilitiesRoom patients and document vitals, medication history, and required clinical informationPrepare patients for procedures and obtain consentsAssist providers during office procedures as neededReview urine drug screen results and update patient chartsProcess labs, imaging requests, and pharmacy communicationsAssist with prior authorizations and prescription coordinationSchedule follow-up appointments and procedure visitsMaintain exam rooms, procedure rooms, and clinical suppliesEnsure charts and documentation are complete for patient visitsCommunicate clearly with patients regarding instructions and follow-up careQualificationsMinimum 2 years of Medical Assistant experience in a specialty or pain management practice (preferred)Comfortable assisting with procedures and high patient volumeFamiliarity with EMR systems (eClinicalWorks preferred)Strong attention to detail and organizationProfessional communication and patient interaction skillsReliable, punctual, and team-orientedJob Type: Full-timeBenefitsHealth insurancePaid time offCompany DescriptionAlleviate Pain is a well respected interventional pain management practice in the region, providing the highest level of interventional pain management services to patients throughout the Tampa Bay and St Petersburg areas.
