EMT or Paramedic (Part-Time)

Medcor is looking to hire an experienced EMT or Paramedic as an Onsite Health Technician for our Mobile Unit in Hebbronville, Texas. This is a part-time position and applicants can expect to work 6-8 per month with variable hours (upwards of 10 - 12 hour days).Most scheduled shifts will be on Friday-Saturday-Sunday and/or Mondays. Hours may vary and change based on clients requirementsApplicants must have a valid drivers license, must be feel comfortable working in a construction environment, and should be able to climb stairs and work at heights if needed. English/Spanish Bilingual is a plus.Per Diem pay is available for qualified candidates.The position’s responsibilities include collaborative work with the medical and operational leadership at Medcor, local medical providers, client staff, with key contacts within the client’s corporate structure. The day-to-day role of the Worksite Health Technician includes patient care, ongoing workers’ compensation case management, Return to Work (RTW) program facilitation, treatment plan monitoring, drug screens and fit testing.A typical day in the life of a Worksite Health TechnicianParticipate in daily operations at Medcor’s mobile clinicProvide superior customer service to Medcor’s client and employeesA fully equipped Mobile Unit (Truck) is provided, with considerable driving in South Texas/Rio Grande Valley Area. Assessment and treatment of workplace injuries and illnesses according to Medcor’s Evidence Based Medicine protocols, known as the Medcor Care Protocols (MCPs)Build and maintain internal team relationshipsPre-employment and post-offer drug screeningsMedical chartingYou MustLOVE what you doHave a current EMT-B (or higher) license, with no restrictionsHave a valid driver’s license and clean driving recordHave current CPR/BLSBe strong enough to lift a 50lb emergency response bagPossess excellent verbal / written communication skillsHave a positive and outgoing personalityBe willing to go above and beyond just because that’s who you areBe passionate about people and giving them the best care humanly possibleBe able to have funIt's a Plus IfYou are comfortable working in a construction environmentYou are good with computers and some familiarity with EMR softwareYou have experience in emergency medicine or critical careHere’s why people love working for Medcor:Stability!
