We specialize in multi-functional parts using complex injection molding and mechatronics, with a strong R&D presence, creating everything from interior elements to exterior panels, and are known for our expertise in high-tech plastic applications.Job OverviewWork schedule: 2nd ShiftJob location: Onsite - Grand Rapids, MIRole: TheTechnical Machine setter is responsible for installing, setting up and maintaining molds in injection molding machines to ensure efficient, safe and high quality production of plastic automotive parts. This role requires strong technical knowledge of molding equipment, tooling and processing parameters as well as the ability to troubleshoot issues and support continuous production.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare tooling for quick changeovers while complying with standardsEnsure precise production changeover while minimizing the changeover timeSupport startup with limited rejections and scrap, perform and approve startup checks, check the good working order of the machine, tooling and other required devices.Monitor production conditions and make adjustments in the event of malfunctionsProvide technical expertise, analyze and diagnose processes, troubleshoot issues, propose and implement adequate corrective actionsAnalyze breakdowns and design and implement improvements to prevent future failuresParticipate in testing and initiating the production of plastic automotive componentsProvide technical training and support to operators and team leaders.Benefits401(k) w/ matchHealth / Dental / Vision insurancePaid time offLife insuranceDisability insuranceQualifications and SkillsEducation: HS Diploma, formal training in injection molding processes preferredExperience: Experience with setup and changeover of injection molding machines.
