DescriptionJob Overview:The Kitchen Worker is responsible for cleaning the plateware, glassware, cooking equipment and utensils involved with the food production and operation of the restaurant program. The resulting creation of wealth will grow opportunities for all.Duties And ResponsibilitiesPossesses the ability to adhere to strict hygiene standards at all timesCleans and maintains the dish room and kitchen areasFriendly and courteous at all timesHas and maintains a stable, positive background and is willing to assume responsibility for additional taskingInforms kitchen leadership of inventory/supply needsOperate commercial dishwashing equipment to clean and sanitize dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, pans, and other kitchen items.Dispose of kitchen garbage in accordance with casino policiesFollow proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals and supplies.Wash, rinse, hand sanitize kitchen equipment and surfaces, including countertops, sinks, stoves and floorsEnsures the physical condition of the premises is maintained in a safe, healthy manner by performing cleaning tasks as assignedEnsures that all applicable operating policies and procedures are adhered to at all times without deviationEnsures that all applicable operating policies and procedures are adhered to at all times without deviation and be extremely knowledgeable of Minimum Internal Control Standards and Fiscal Policies and ProceduresOther duties and responsibilities as assignedJob Requirements: (please ensure you meet the listed requirements prior to applying)High School diploma or GED required or currently enrolled and successfully complete a GED program within six (6) months from start date as a condition of continued employmentMust be eighteen (18) years of age or olderWillingness and ability to bend, squat and lift up to 50 lbs on a regular and frequent basisAbility to adequately and successfully perform all aspects of this positionMust possess a high level of maturity, dependability, and punctualityDemonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writingWilling to work odd and irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidaysWilling to travel and participate in training as recommended or requiredMust have an Occupational License (or the ability to obtain and maintain a license) pursuant to the Illinois Gaming Act and remain in good standing with the Illinois Gaming Board as a requirement for this positionBase PayPay range - $15.00 - $20.63 (The base pay will depend on factors such as experience level and skillset.)Voluntary full-time benefit offerings include the following - group medical, dental, vision, and life insurance as well as access to a flexible spending account (FSA) option.
