Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dining environment. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for providing exceptional customer service and have experience in the food industry. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our guests enjoy a memorable dining experience through attentive service, menu knowledge, and effective communication. Duties Greet and seat guests promptly, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. Take food and beverage orders accurately using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems. Provide detailed information about menu items, including daily specials and wine pairings. Upsell menu items and promote specials to enhance the guest experience. Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation. Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their meal and address any concerns promptly. Process payments accurately through cash handling and cashiering procedures. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with food safety regulations. Assist with bussing tables and resetting for new guests as needed. Skills Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with guests. Experience with Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar systems is preferred. Culinary experience or knowledge of food preparation techniques is a plus. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently. Proven sales skills with the ability to upsell menu items effectively. Familiarity with OpenTable for reservations management is beneficial. Fine dining experience is an advantage but not required. Basic math skills for accurate order processing and cash handling. Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards in the food service industry. Previous restaurant experience, including serving, hosting, or kitchen roles is desirable. Strong communication skills to enhance guest relations and provide exceptional service.
