Temp Assistant Designer, Mens- Fashion Brand!

Our client, is seeking a Associate Designer to join their team in New York! This is a full-time hour contract role supporting their Mens team.Responsibilities:Work closely with Senior Designers/ design team to manage creative and technical development of seasonal assortment from concept through production stagesUtilize Illustrator & Photoshop to develop CADs/ develop hand sketchesAssist in research of seasonal trends, colors, raw materials, styling and trimsParticipate in weekly fittings and provide commentsResearch current trends and forecast evolution on those trends within brand identityCommunicate seasonal design intent to factoriesGenerate tech packs with clear garment construction and trim information to overseas factoriesFilling submit approvals for lab dips, strike offs, and etc.Complete basic BOM updates & PLM color code creationFabric library creation and organizationManage design boards & sketches for meetingsQualifications:1-2 years Design experience within apparel design Bachelor's degree in Fashion DesignAbility to hand sketch and AI sketch with IllustratorKeen eye for color and materialsAbility to CAD and spec garmentsFluent in PLMDetail oriented, organized, and strong communication skillsPlease submit your Resume & Portfolio to apply!You can use www.workgrades.com to collect and manage your references for free and share them with us or anyone else you choose.
