You'll work with each resident to create a service plan that helps them manage and improve their lives. You'll provide regular therapy services - including individual, group, and family sessions - as well as case management and referrals. You'll also help with daily program operations and respond to crises when needed. Some on-call and after-hours work is required.WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE FOR THIS ROLE:This position requires at least a Master's degree in social work or a related field, along with one of the following certifications: CSW, MFT, or LCPA. Preference is given to candidates with a clinical license, such as LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC. It's also preferred that candidates have completed a practicum focused on behavioral health and substance use.Applicants must have experience providing clinical services, including communication, casework, and billing with Kentucky Medicaid. The therapist will serve women, children, and families who may be dealing with behavioral health or substance use concerns.The role calls for knowledge and skills in the following areas:Mental illness and addiction treatmentCognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)12-step facilitationUsing community resourcesModeling healthy behaviorCompassion and respect for people living with behavioral health challenges, Hepatitis C, and HIV/AIDS are essential. You must be able to learn and follow all agency, staff, and program policies. You should also understand current treatment methods and be able to train and supervise social work interns.Master's degree in Social Work or a related fieldCertification (CSW, MFT, LCPA) requiredPreference for licensed clinicians (LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC)Preferred experience in behavioral health or substance use practicumExperience with clinical services, documentation, and Medicaid billingKnowledge of mental illness, addiction, CBT, and 12-step programsFamiliar with community resources and working as a role modelComfortable working with clients affected by Hepatitis C and HIV/AIDSMust show respect and compassion for all clientsAbility to supervise interns and follow agency guidelinesRESPONSIBILITIES:Provide assessments, therapy, and referrals for clientsOffer daily individual and group therapyJoin weekly clinical supervisionKeep up with billing and Medicaid rulesManage your caseload and client needsCreate and review service plansWork with community partners and referral sourcesDocument services clearly and on timeHelp clients with crisis counselingAdvise other staff on treatment issuesCollect and report service dataEnsure resident compliance with program rulesComplete intakes and discharge planningAttend case conferences and team meetingsHelp with daily operations and holiday coverageAssist with projects like Quality Assurance and COA standardsMaintain accurate therapy recordsKeep CPR and First Aid certifications up to dateSupport Performance Quality Improvement (PQI) as assignedCOA standards and CRR requirements.Assist with documentation control on therapy files assigned.Participate in regular client review.Other duties assigned.
