Instructional Specialist - ARD FacilitatorJob Status: UNTIL FILLED Posting Date: 05/12/2026 Posting Number: 013588 Location: Allen High School Position Title: Instructional Specialist - ARD Facilitator Wage/Hour Status: Exempt Reports To: Principal/Director of Special ServicesPrimary Purpose:Responsible for supporting the campus with coordination, planning, and preparation of compliance documents for students eligible for services under Special Education, 504, and/or the emergent bilingual program. Responsible for chairing SIT, ARD, 504, and LPAC meetings.Qualifications: Education/Certification:A master's degreeTexas Mid-Management or Texas Principal CertificationT-TESS Appraiser Certification preferredSpecial Knowledge/Skills:* Knowledge about instructional materials, technology, and state evaluations.* Knowledge of all federal, state, and local guidelines and procedures.Experience:* Experience in adapting/ implementation of curriculum to meet individual learning and behavioral needs.* At least three years of experience as a teacher, Special Education preferredMajor Responsibilities and Duties:Schedules SIT, ARD, 504, and LPAC meetings and coordinate parental notification.Chairs SIT, ARD, 504, and LPAC meetings.Ensures agenda and compliance are followed in SIT, ARD, 504 and LPAC meetings.Requests additional assessments as needed per SPED and 504 guidelines.Coordinates any needed related services and community support resources.Facilitates Student Intervention Team to develop appropriate interventions to allow students to benefit from regular classroom instruction to the greatest extent possible.Facilitates campus Student Intervention Team to review student progress, intervention, and/or evaluation needs.Coordinates with members of the ARD and 504 committee to monitor student progress, ensure that IEPs and IAPs are appropriate, and revise plans as needed.Works in coordination with other staff to assure accurate reporting of student accounting procedures that align with state and federal guidelines.Maintains compliance with required timelines for ARD, 504, LPAC, and SIT committee meetings.Assists in planning and providing training to campus staff on ARD, 504, LPAC, and SIT procedures.Performs other duties as assigned.Supervisory Responsibilities:None.Customer Care Skills: Mental Demands/Physical Demands:Tools/Equipment Used: Standard office equipment including personal computer and peripheralsPosture: Prolonged sitting; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twistingMotion: Repetitive hand motions including frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional reachingLifting: Occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds)Environment: May work prolonged or irregular hours; frequent district wide travel; occasional statewide travel and out-of-state travelMental Demands: Work with frequent interruptions, maintain emotional control under stressSalary: Commensurate with experience according to District salary schedule.Days: 197 Start Date: 2026-07-27 00:00:00.000
