Maintenance Mechanic (2nd shift)
DC Fabricators is seeking a talented Maintenance Mechanic (2nd Shift) to join our team. This is an on-site position reporting to our manufacturing facility in Florence, NJ. At DCF, you'll be part of a skilled team that delivers high-quality, made-to-spec components where precision, reliability, and customer focus matter. Whether you're driving results in the office or making them happen on the shop floor, you'll collaborate across departments to solve problems, support efficient operations, and help ensure every component is completed safely, accurately, and with precision! Essential Duties of the Maintenance Mechanic – 2nd Shift:• Perform maintenance and repair of manufacturing equipment, including mechanical and electrical systems.• Troubleshoot equipment issues using technical manuals, assembly instructions, and diagnostic tools.• Maintain and repair CNC machines and related equipment as needed.• Utilize basic and specialized hand tools to perform maintenance tasks.• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve equipment issues and improve performance.• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.• Support safe work practices and comply with all safety policies and procedures.• Work overtime, including weekends, as required to support production needs. Education & Skills Requirements:• High school diploma or GED required.• Minimum five (5) years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic in a manufacturing environment required.• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience required.• Black Seal license or certification strongly preferred.• Knowledge of CNC machine design and operation preferred.• Ability to read and interpret technical documents, manuals, and schematics.• Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills.• Self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.• Excellent computer skills including Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.• US Citizenship required at time of hire. Additional Information:• This position is scheduled for 2nd shift (Monday–Friday, 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM).• Includes a $2.00/hour shift differential.• Candidates must be able to train on day shift prior to transitioning to the permanent schedule.
