Overview:
Beacon Hill is partnering with a real estate organization seeking a Controller to lead its accounting and financial reporting function. The Controller will serve as a key business partner to executive leadership while helping drive process improvements and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
Oversee preparation and review of financial statements and management reports
Manage and mentor a team of accounting professionals
Review general ledger activity, journal entries, and account reconciliations
Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives
Coordinate internal and external audit activities
Ensure compliance with applicable tax and reporting requirements
Manage cash flow reporting and banking activities
Develop and improve accounting processes, controls, and procedures
Support special projects and other accounting initiatives as needed

Desired Candidate Profile:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
5+ years of accounting leadership experience
Real estate, property management, or multi-entity accounting experience preferred
Strong financial reporting and general ledger accounting background
Experience managing and developing accounting staff
Advanced Excel skills and strong systems aptitude
CPA is a plus
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
