Process EngineerContractHemlock, MIEducation: BS in mechanical, electrical, chemical, industrial engineering strongly preferredMinimum Experience: 2+ years required, 5+ preferred in a manufacturing environmentSCOPE OF POSITION/RESPONSIBILITIES:• Responsible for providing hands-on support for identifying and implementing process improvements, variability reduction, defect reduction, process control, throughput improvements and 6-Sigma initiatives.• Collect key process data and support the execution of experiments at the direction of the plant process engineers.• Analyze data sets to identify relationships/capabilities for line performance• Support the development of standard work documentation to include SOPs, SOS, Job Aids and Training Documentation.• Supports problem-solving in manufacturing, including root cause identification and resolution.• Ensures safe work practices.REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCES:• Experienced WITH and comfortable working in a manufacturing environment providing hands-on technical support.• Willingness to work shifts• Technical curiosity with the ability to learn quickly• Capable of multitasking• Must be a self-starter, able to work in team environment.• Strong data analysis, interpretation, visualization, and problem-solving skillsADDITIONAL SKILLS TO HAVE,BUT NOT REQUIRED:• Skills and experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Design of Experiments (DoE) methods.• Demonstrated technical expertise in process improvementSOFT SKILLS:• Excellent communications, interpersonal and influencing skills.• Ability to collaborate and work with diverse teams (skills, gender, culture, race, etc.)• Comfortable with ambiguity and changing prioritiesTRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:• 0% travel• Position will be based in Hemlock, MIWORK SCHEDULE:• 2-3-2 Rotating 12 Hour Work Schedule (Day: 6 A to 6 P / Night: 6P to 6A)o 28 day (4 week cycle)o 42 hours per weeko 2 hours OT/week
