Quality Analyst Engineer
About the RoleWe are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive QA Engineer with strong expertise in Functional Testing, API Validation, SQL, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) testing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for validating complex business workflows, backend systems, APIs, and cloud-based applications while ensuring high product quality across releases.You will work closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to support end-to-end testing activities across modern microservices and cloud-native architectures.Key ResponsibilitiesFunctional & System TestingAnalyze business and functional requirements to create detailed test scenarios and test casesPerform Functional, System, Integration, Regression, and UAT testingValidate end-to-end workflows across applications and backend servicesEnsure deliverables align with business requirements and acceptance criteriaAPI & Backend ValidationValidate REST APIs using tools such as Postman or similar toolsPerform service-level and data flow validations across microservices architecturesUnderstand Java-based application logic to support effective test design and debuggingSQL & Data TestingWrite and execute complex SQL queries for backend data validationValidate data accuracy, transformations, and integrity across systemsPerform testing on relational and cloud-based databasesVerify batch and real-time data processing workflowsGCP & Cloud TestingTest applications deployed on Google Cloud Platform environmentsValidate integrations with services such as:Cloud StorageBigQueryCloud FunctionsPub/SubSupport testing in CI/CD-enabled and containerized cloud environmentsDefect Management & CollaborationLog, track, and manage defects using JiraCollaborate with developers, business analysts, and product teams to resolve issues efficientlyParticipate actively in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectivesQuality & Process ImprovementEnsure adherence to QA standards, processes, and best practicesContribute to continuous improvement initiatives for testing processes and documentationSupport risk analysis and quality metrics reportingRequired Skills & QualificationsStrong understanding of Software Testing methodologies and SDLCHands-on experience in Functional, System, Integration, and Regression TestingSolid understanding of Java for code analysis and debugging supportStrong SQL skills for backend and data validationExperience testing REST APIs and microservices-based applicationsHands-on exposure to Google Cloud Platform environmentsFamiliarity with Agile/Scrum methodologiesExperience with defect tracking and test management tools such as JiraExposure to CI/CD pipelines is a plusPreferred QualificationsExperience working in cloud-native or distributed systems environmentsExposure to containerized deployments and DevOps practicesKnowledge of automation testing concepts is an added advantageExperience Required: 4-6 Years
