Safety Coordinator
Location: Lebanon, INSchedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. (varies) | 5 x 10-hour shifts (10 hours/week overtime eligible) | Occasional weekends as neededPosition OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Safety Coordinator to support a long-term, high-profile project in Lebanon, IN. This project will be 2–3 years in duration, designed for a safety professional who values stability, team integration, and long-term, not short-term contract work.This individual will be embedded on-site and play a critical role in maintaining a proactive safety culture, ensuring regulatory compliance, and executing the site-specific safety plan across all phases of construction.Key ResponsibilitiesSafety Planning & ExecutionAssist in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the site-specific safety planCarry out and enforce all aspects of the site-specific safety programLead and participate in safety planning meetings prior to major work activitiesDevelop, review, and audit Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) and pre-task plansDaily Site OversightConduct daily job site walks and safety auditsLead daily job site safety meetings and toolbox talksMonitor high-risk activities and ensure proper controls are in placePartner with field leadership to proactively identify and mitigate hazardsIncident Management & ComplianceAssist with accident, incident, and violation investigationsDocument findings and support corrective action plansEnsure timely reporting and compliance with OSHA and client requirementsMaintain accurate safety records and documentationCollaboration & CommunicationWork closely with project management, superintendents, subcontractors, and client representativesServe as a visible safety resource and advocate on siteReinforce accountability and promote a culture of safety ownershipRequired:Minimum 5 years of construction safety experienceOSHA 30 – Construction CertificationStrong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety best practicesExperience leading safety planning efforts and developing JSAsAbility to work extended hours and occasional weekends as project demands requireStrong communication and documentation skillsCHST (Construction Health & Safety Technician) or other BCSP certification preferred but not requiredOSHA 510 Certification preferred but not requiredExperience on large-scale commercial or industrial construction projectsIdeal CandidateWe are looking for a safety professional who takes ownership of safety planning, thrives in a highly visible on-site role, and is committed to seeing a project through from start to finish.
