Job Description Job Title: Assistive Technology Professional (ATP)Location: Texas (Travel Required)Job Description:An Assistive Technology Professional (ATP) is a specialized service provider who evaluates the technology needs of individuals with disabilities and assists in selecting and utilizing adaptive equipment. ATPs support the evaluation and recommendation process for rehabilitation products including manual and power wheelchairs, custom seating, and other adaptive devices, as directed by the client's therapist and/or physician. They collaborate closely with clients, therapists, and physicians to ensure. The right candidate will live in Texas and be willing to travel.Equipment meets the client’s medical needsMedical justification is obtained prior to provisionInsurance coverage and benefits are communicated to the clientAssistive devices may include wheelchairs, scooters, seating and positioning systems, ambulatory aids, gait trainers, standers, hygiene and transfer aids, and other adaptive technologies.Duties and Responsibilities / Essential Functions:Develops new referrals and client opportunities through professional presentations and outreach to medical personnel, using ethical and legal means to build and maintain business.Completes client evaluations and ensures appropriate equipment recommendations.Ensures timely completion of evaluations and order entries; documents and forwards all client intake information to the appropriate branch.Assists with obtaining letters of medical necessity and required documentation.Prepares and follows up on work orders including researching components, pricing, and insurance documentation.Ensures timely delivery of equipment to clients.Oversees fittings and equipment adjustments to guarantee optimal function for the client.Provides comprehensive education to clients on product use, safety, and financial responsibilities.Obtains proper documentation and client signatures throughout the process.Coordinates with technicians and branch staff for equipment preparation, delivery scheduling, and service needs.Ensures client satisfaction through follow-ups and support.Maintains knowledge of clinical practices, products, services, and procedures.Adheres to all company policies including Infection Control and Equipment Management.Assists with quarterly physical inventory as needed.Maintains regular and predictable attendance.Participates in continuing education as required.Conducts thorough evaluations to help patients determine appropriate complex equipment.Builds and maintains strong relationships with physicians and healthcare providers to support sales growth and exposure.Acts as liaison between the company, patient, and healthcare agencies.Travels within assigned territory to meet with clients and referral sources.Demonstrates products using samples or brochures as needed.Supports and communicates estimated delivery dates to patients.Required Education, Experience & Competencies:ATP Certification from RESNA, or currently pursuing certificationPrevious experience in the durable medical equipment or medical device industry preferred1–3 years of experience in complex rehab is preferredPhysical Demands:Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds as part of regular job dutiesCompany DescriptionWe provide durable medical equipment to Patients to improve thier mobility and quality of life.
