This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving abilities, and hands-on involvement in workflow coordination, equipment oversight, and employee development.As the Molding Team Lead, you will actively support and lead the Molding Department to achieve production goals while maintaining quality standards throughout all stages of the molding process. This includes managing workflow, proactively addressing issues that may impact production, communicating with leadership, inspecting molds and components for defects, ensuring employees remain productive and compliant with procedures, and utilizing SAP to complete administrative and production-related tasks.ResponsibilitiesPromote safety as the highest priority in all daily activitiesAdhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety requirementsSupport departmental production goals and assist in achieving operational targetsSupport all Foundry and Molding leadership initiatives as directedLead, instruct, and support Molding team members to ensure proper completion of work assignmentsMonitor molding operations to ensure quality standards and production schedules are maintainedInspect molds, patterns, and related components for defects or quality concernsMaintain and promote good housekeeping practices throughout the Molding DepartmentEnsure compliance with GIW procedures, work instructions, and process standardsMonitor equipment condition and communicate maintenance or repair needs to leadership as necessaryAssist in coordinating workflow and manpower to maximize efficiency and minimize downtimeUtilize SAP and other systems to complete production reporting and administrative tasksConsistently monitor employee performance, productivity, and adherence to safety and quality standards throughout the shiftAssist with training and development of new and existing employees within the departmentSupport continuous improvement initiatives within molding operationsPerform other duties as assigned by managementMust be willing to work any shift as business needs requireQualificationsDemonstrated leadership and accountabilityStrong communication and team-building skillsAbility to operate and troubleshoot molding equipment and related foundry machineryAbility to train and mentor employees on molding processes and equipment operationAbility to read and interpret work instructions, production documents, and quality standardsUnderstanding of required production and quality documentation and its importanceStrong organizational and problem-solving skillsProactive and detail-oriented approach to workAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentPrevious foundry or heavy manufacturing experience preferredSAP or ERP system experience preferredFrequentlyPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Standing, walking, sitting, bending, squatting, and stoopingLifting, pushing, and pulling up to 75 lbs.Working in hot, dusty, and industrial foundry environmentsOccasionallyOverhead workClimbing ladders or stairsDriving forkliftsOperating cranesKSB GIW, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
