Database Engineer

For our client, we are seeking a Database Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Enterprise Technology space. This role will lead technical work focused on secure, reliable systems and risk-aware execution. You will partner with business, technical, and operational stakeholders to build reporting, surface trends, and translate analysis into action. The position offers the opportunity to strengthen data-driven execution and help teams focus on the metrics that matter most within a technology-driven environment.Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship availableCompensation: $110,000 – $130,000 annuallyResponsibilities Design, deploy, and optimize various database technologies in multi-cloud and on-premises environments Write and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and views Create and modify indices to enhance query performance Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery procedures Conduct disaster recovery drills and document results Monitor database performance and implement tuning strategies Collaborate with developers to design data models and schemas Implement security best practices across all database platformsQualifications 5+ years of professional database engineering experience Expert-level knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server (2016 or later) Strong experience with PostgreSQL Hands-on experience with MongoDB or other NoSQL databases Strong experience managing databases on AWS RDS and Aurora Knowledge of database security and compliance standards Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsBenefits Career growth opportunities Support for ongoing education and certifications Collaborative work culture across teams Flexible working arrangementsOur client is an equal opportunity employer.
