Job Title: Leader In Training (LIT) Coordinator Reports to: Leadership Academy Director Location: Primary: 135 William T Morrissey Blvd, Ste S110A Boston, MA 02125, Seasonal: Long Island, Boston Harbor. Hours: Exempt, Full Time, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM or 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM, Seasonal: 8:30 AM- 5:00 PM. Start Date: June 16th, 2025 Summary of Position The Leader in Training (LIT) Program is a leadership development program for young people, aimed at building critical skills for post-secondary success. The LIT Program Coordinator is responsible for planning and implementing curriculum, programs, activities, and events for the LIT program. They will work with the Leadership Academy Director to lead a group of 40 young people through a year-long program focused on career and post-secondary planning. During the school year, the Coordinator will lead a weekly community night covering topics such as college applications, resumes, interviews, financial aid, networking, and career readiness. In the summer, the LIT program runs alongside Camp Harbor View's summer camp. The Coordinator will tailor leadership programming for their cohort and supervise LITs in their roles as junior camp staff, conducting check-ins and ensuring leadership development. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Create and modify curriculum that supports LITs in reaching post-secondary goals and refining relevant skills. Work with each young person individually to set goals and monitor progress toward achieving those goals Participate in individual and group supervision sessions to ensure ongoing development and support Establish clear expectations that encourage ownership of the process and lead to independence and preparation for adulthood Ensure wrap-around (Clinical/Family Support) needs are addressed by the appropriate department for assigned students Assist the Leadership Academy Director in conducting program evaluations and monitoring progress toward goals set for students in the LIT program Develop and promote a culture of excellence, exploration, and growth among participants Conduct evaluations for all young people in the LIT program related to their summer employment at Camp Harbor View Perform other duties as assigned by the Leadership Academy Director and Leadership team Qualifications Creative, adaptable, detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about young people's growth and development; At least two years' experience working with youth in an out of schoolsetting Strong interpersonal and communication skills Experience working with youth and families from a variety of backgrounds Ability to work independently and as part of a team Bachelor's Degree or equivalent relevant experience Ability to motivate others and produce results Bachelor's degree required, or equivalent certifications and/or experience Strong understanding of the Boston educational landscape and its key dynamics. Proven experience in leading administrative systems and processes related to the coordination of youth services Proficiency in utilizing data to drive continuous improvement in program outcomes Enthusiasm for working in a dynamic, fast-paced, and collaborative team environment with a strong commitment to the organization's mission BIPOC candidates are strongly encouraged to apply
