Senior Software Design Engineer As a software engineer with the world's leader in developing highly complex machines/robots, you would be demonstrating leadership and performing hand-on development of code that drive unique robots used in the production of computer chips. In these machines, patterns are optically imaged onto a silicon wafer that is covered with a film of light-sensitive material (photoresist). This procedure is repeated dozens of times on a single wafer.Your responsibility includes:Working in a team of highly skilled software engineers responsible for developing software that enables the ever-increasing miniaturization of sophisticated technology.Using Agile methodology to develop the software using C and/or C++.Creating architecture and designs that are modular, scalable, robust, and meet customer requirements.Perform unit testing and on target testing to ensure the software meets the high-quality standards our customers expect.You will also participate in continuous process improvement activities aimed at ensuring the processes and tools used throughout software development lifecycle are increasing the team's ability to develop high quality software in the most efficient manner.Desirable skills include:C/C++, Python, Linux, Embedded/Realtime software developmentKnowledge of full software development life cycleHaving had a major role in more than one NPI (New Product Introduction) projectA major contributor to key architecture/design and decisionsExperience in seeing a major part of project through all phases of development (Requirements/Design/Code/test/integration/verification)Seen as the go-to-person in the projectProactive/willing to take risksInnovative and Quality drivenGreat Communication skills, experience in leading a small teamSoftware used in controlling complex industrial manufacturing equipmentEducation & Experience:Undergraduate degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent experience.At least 6 years of experience in C and/or C++.Experience working on Linux.Good understanding of statistics, software system design and distributed architectures.Extensive experience in embedded software development.Thinks creative, out of the box, self-starting, fast learner, good coder, and designer.
