Maintenance Technician

Maintenance TechnicianCrossbeam Investments, LLP, a local property management company is searching for a Maintenance Technician for Hidden Lake, a 144-unit apartment complex located in the Lakewood/Tacoma area. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for unit turns, work orders, and general maintenance of the property. The ideal candidate must have strong communication skills and is honest, reliable, and motivated to work. The schedule is Monday - Friday 9 AM - 5:30 PM.Key Responsibilities of the Maintenance Technician:Unit TurnsRepairing cabinets, closet latches, hinges, bathroom fixtures, etc.Light plumbing leaks/troubleshootingChanging locksLight electrical such as replacing light fixtures, heaters, and outletsReplacing water heatersSome paintingUnit Work Orders such as clogged garbage disposals, toilets, sinks, and tubs; leaky faucets, shower heads, and anything the resident breaks.Light appliance repair, knobs, burners, heat elements, broken handles, etc.Daily walk of the grounds, vacuum, and pick-up garbage as needed to keep areas well maintained.Schedule outside vendors as needed which could include carpet cleaners, housekeepers, carpet installers, plumbers, electricians, etc.Follow up with management on all repairs and work needed or completed.On-call rotation for emergency calls such as fire, floods, etc.What the Successful Maintenance Technician will have:Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician. Prior maintenance experience in property management strongly preferred.Proficient with general repairs/maintenance work, basic appliance repair, plumbing, and electrical.Heavy appliance and pool experience is a plus.Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with residents and vendors.Able to work well independently and also collaborate effectively with a team.Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Strong attention to detail.Knowledge of health & safety practices and regulations.Hiring is contingent on passing a background check and drug test.Compensation:$22.00 -$25.00 per hour (DOE)Outstanding Benefits include:Up to 90% employer paid MedicalDental and VisionEarn up to 10 days of PTO per year8 Paid Holidays plus 2 Floating Holidays per yearPSSL in accordance with city of Seattle law401k retirement planCrossbeam Investments has partnered with All Things HR, an external HR Consulting Company, to assist with their recruitment process.
