OverviewThe Post Oak Hotel is seeking a Lead Barista to join the only Forbes Five-Star Hotel in Texas. We hire passionate and professional colleagues who genuinely delight our guests through curated and authentic experiences.The Lead Barista will be responsible for leading the barista team to create a great guest experience through preparing and serving espresso-based coffee drinks and other beverages.ResponsibilitiesLead Barista team members by managing work load and delegating tasks to ensure smooth serviceGreet guests and welcome them in a friendly mannerTake drink orders and follow policy regarding service of alcoholKnow the menu and be able to explain menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods to guestsCoordinate with the kitchen staff to ensure all orders are prepared and delivered on time and togetherServe food and beverages promptly and efficiently, ensuring accuracy and good presentationCheck on guests during their stay to ensure satisfaction and address requests/concernsHandle guest complaints or concerns professionally and bring issues to managementResponsibilities include complying with all federal and state laws, including the FLSA tip regulations regarding tip reporting QualificationsAspire to our values of being passionate, strive for excellence, remain relevant, collaborate and act with honor and integrityHigh School diploma or equivalent 2-3 years of restaurant experience in high volume operation. Previous hotel experience, luxury or Forbes experience preferredExcellent communication skills.Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays is requiredPhysical demands: Ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis and prolonged extended periods of standing.
