Key Details: Position: Locum Tenens Emergency Medicine Physician Volume: 20,000 annual patient volume, with 10-15% pediatric cases Shift Coverage: 24 hours of physician coverage 12 hours of Advanced Practice Provider coverage Treatment Rooms: 12 private treatment rooms for optimal patient care Requirements: Board Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (MD or DO) EM residency-trained physicians required Certifications: PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification required Skills: Strong communication skills Expertise in the evaluation and management of acute medical emergencies Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-stress environment Sound judgment and decision-making capabilities during emergencies Responsibilities: Provide high-quality care to a diverse patient population, managing acute medical emergencies and ensuring the best possible outcomes Collaborate with a team of physicians, nurses, and advanced practice providers to ensure comprehensive patient care Maintain excellent communication with staff and patients, ensuring all medical interventions are explained clearly and effectively Manage pediatric cases effectively, making quick, decisive medical evaluations and interventions when necessary Additional Benefits: Position Duration: 3 months, with the potential for extension Start Date: ASAP Location: Near New Braunfels, TX, in a supportive and collaborative medical community Work in a facility designed to provide the best care with private treatment rooms and strong team collaboration.
