Commercial Estimator Construction

The ideal candidate will have significant estimating and quantity take-off experience for site work, paving, concrete, and underground utilities related to institutional, commercial, and industrial construction projects. Prior experience with civil construction subcontractors, significant individual-performance, and AGTEK estimating software proficiency is strongly preferred.Essential Responsibilities:Understand and Analyze detailed bid specifications, schematics, and drawingsPrepare accurate estimates/packages for projects  Assist Operations with scheduling, job layout, and change order preparation Track progress of multiple bids and bid resultsOversee and manage change orders during project progressionOversee and manage project closeouts at completionDeliver accurate and timely estimates/bid proposals to clientsMaintain positive relations with clients, subcontractors, and vendorsCommunicate effectively with other departments and team members Some local travel to review bids and inspect current conditions at job sitesRequirements:Five to seven years' experience in construction within an individual-performance environmentSome college-level construction management study preferredProficient knowledge of earthwork, underground utilities, concrete, and asphaltExperience with estimating and design software (B2W, AGTEK, AutoCad, PlanSwift)General knowledge of construction equipment applicationsCreate and maintain relationships with colleagues, clients, subcontractors, and vendorsMust possess strong verbal, interpersonal, and problem-solving skillsWork with peers in a team environmentDemonstrated knowledge of geotechnical skillsExcellent organizational and time management skillsProficient with Microsoft Excel and strong computer skillsBilingual in Spanish and English is a plusValid Driver's License
