Lead Carpenter/Foreman

We are a Construction company based out of Monterey, California and are looking to hire Carpenter Foreman that is available to work out of Monterey County. In this role the Carpenter Foreman will oversee other carpenter/laborers and assist with carpentry work at various job sites. Only applicants with substantial commercial experience as a Journeyman-level carpenter/carpenter foreman will be considered for the position. Wage is dependent on the applicant's level of experience and will be reevaluated after they complete a 90 day probationary period. Construction Foreman duties and responsibilities: Plan, implement and manage construction tasks in accordance with priorities and goals as directed by project manager Manage and monitor members attendance and work Adhere to relevant safety regulations Manage and guide the use of machinery and equipment Assist project manager with cost coding and budget updates Peacefully resolve any emerging problems and issues Allocate and delegate responsibilities Supervise, train and give feedback to workers Ensure labor and other resources are available as necessary Report to project manager on project progress Construction Foreman requirements: 1 years of experience as Construction Foreman 5+ years experience in commercial construction Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs Excellent knowledge of construction operations and equipment Must read and understand blueprints Good time-management skills Ability to multi-task Strong interpersonal and communication skills Critical-thinker and problem-solver Good math skills Good physical condition and stamina High school diploma Outstanding organizational skills Be pro-active and perform well under pressure Clean driving record and valid drivers license Must have own transportation and tools Must be okay with random drug screening Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $35.00 per hour Work Location: In person
