Construction Manager

A well-established, privately held industrial real estate developer with projects throughout the Western United States is seeking an experienced Industrial Construction Project Manager to support a growing portfolio of Class A industrial developments. This is a long-term opportunity with a stable organization known for delivering large-scale industrial projects and fostering a collaborative, team-oriented culture. The position is based onsite in Torrance, CA and reports to senior leadership within the development and construction team.The ideal candidate will oversee both pre-construction and construction activities for Class A industrial developments ranging from approximately 150,000 to 1,000,000 square feet. This individual will serve as the owner's representative, leading coordination with general contractors and project stakeholders while ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.ResponsibilitiesBuild and maintain strong relationships with architects, engineers, general contractors, subcontractors, and inspectorsServe as the owner's representative during construction meetings with general contractorsReview estimates, budgets, schedules, project costs, and quantitiesManage permitting and licensing requirementsLead the RFP process for general contractor selectionOversee bidding, budgeting, subcontractor buyout, and procurement activitiesCoordinate material sourcing, lead times, project logistics, and construction methodsPrepare consultant agreements and construction contractsReview and approve invoices while partnering with accounting on monthly drawsManage project closeout documentation and final turnoverConduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress and qualityCoordinate with lenders, investors, and equity partners regarding project executionPrepare project reports, budgets, and schedule updates for leadership and stakeholdersQualifications10 to 15 years of commercial or multifamily construction management experienceExperience managing large-scale industrial construction projects preferredBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferredStrong ability to manage multiple priorities, including schedules, subcontracts, change orders, procurement, insurance, logistics, and project closeoutProven leadership skills with the ability to coordinate cross-functional teamsStrong understanding of construction practices, architectural design, and engineering principlesProficiency with AI tools, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project, or similar project management softwareExcellent written and verbal communication skillsValid driver's license requiredCompensation & BenefitsSalary: $175,000 to $200,000 annuallyPerformance bonus opportunityMedical, dental, vision, and life insurancePaid time offMonday through Friday scheduleCandidates must successfully complete a background check, drug screening, DMV review, and other pre-employment requirements.
