Data Technician

Knowledge of server/storage/network hardware Knowledge of Structured cabling, labeling, and troubleshooting of fiber (MMF / SMF) MPO / LC connectors and copper (CAT 6) Rack and stack of data center equipment, including but not limited to servers, networking devices, monitoring systems and other equipment Documentation of activities. Decommission life cycle of data center hardware Receive/ship data center equipment as needed Install, Remove, Troubleshoot hardware in data center racks without disturbing other hardware and critical infrastructure on site Knowledge of DCIM and Cable Management Systems Maintain asset inventory Personal Skills: Take action when appropriate and escalate when required Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills Take direction when it is given, paying attention to all details involved Ability to communicate and write effectively in both verbal and written communication Dependable and trustworthy Process oriented Experience escalating issues to other onsite staff and management as needed Time management skills Be a good team player Job Type: Contract Pay: $29.00 - $32.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Schedule: 8 hour shift People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply Work Location: On the road
