Position Summary:
Responsible for creating, modifying, and optimizing CNC programs to produce precision-machined parts according to engineering drawings and specifications.
Essential Job Functions:
Develop, write, and edit CNC programs for mills, lathes, and multi-axis machines.
Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and models to determine machining requirements.
Select appropriate tooling, speeds, and feeds to optimize performance and efficiency.
Create set-up sheets based on established criteria.
Troubleshoot and resolve machining and programming issues.
Maintain program documentation and revision control.
Collaborate with internal departments to resolve machining or quality issues.
Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
Knowledge of tooling, cutting conditions, and machining best practices.
2 years of experience directly related to CNC programming.
Working knowledge of Catia V5, and/or Mastercam software.
Advanced knowledge of reading drawings and specifications with an understanding of geometric tolerances and dimensions.
Strong time management skills and a commitment to meeting deadlines.
Ability to work under pressure, handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
Ability to demonstrate flexibility, initiative, and good judgement in dealing with incoming projects as well as adapting to changing product parameters and customer requirements.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
