Job Title: Purchasing AgentThe Axel Group is seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Agent to join our client’s organization. This is a great opportunity to join a national homebuilder and work alongside some of the industry’s top executives.Key Responsibilities:Review and analyze project bids, ensuring accurate scope of work and cost estimates.Track and manage blueprints, design changes, and project specifications to maintain alignment with project objectives.Set up and monitor option costs and sales prices, ensuring budget compliance.Maintain and update current project budgets, tracking variances and implementing corrective actions as needed.Spread revised bids, seek approval for any price adjustments, and communicate updates effectively.Prepare detailed direct costs analysis and variance reports for management review.Input and manage original direct costs budgets accurately.Execute lot starts, finalize unit costs, and ensure all costs are properly documented and proofed.Qualifications:4+ years of proven experience in purchasing/ procurement, cost analysis, or purchasing within a construction or manufacturing environment.Strong understanding of blueprints, design specifications, and project documentation.Excellent analytical skills with the ability to prepare and interpret financial reports.Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and communication skills.Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Why Join Us?Compensation & Benefits: Competitive salary with comprehensive benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), Employee Stock Purchase Plan, Flex Spending Accounts, Life & Disability Insurance, and paid time off (vacation, sick, personal days, and holidays).Career Development: Opportunities for professional growth through ongoing training and involvement in diverse projects.Workplace Environment: Join a collaborative team that values initiative, innovation, and excellence.
