If you are a problem-solving people-person, apply today!We are seeking a highly skilled Computer and Information Systems Manager to work at our Jacksonville, FL location.Key ResponsibilitiesCollect, create, update, maintain, and verify the sensitive and proprietary GIS data contained within the Navy NRSE C3P Ashore Program. Provide support for implementation of applications, spatial data processing and reporting.Assist with spatial database management, data conversion, system validation testing and data compilation.Provide support to Navy fire and policy emergency responders via the enterprise spatial database.Provide user training in operations to support staff, administrators and ensure coordination with mapping and administration groups.Maintain hardware configuration files, monitor system status, investigate problems and take correction action as necessary.Provide data management (both tabular and spatial), relational database administration, statistics generation and table space management.Perform failure/recovery processes for common geospatial image formats (TIFF, GeoTIFF, MrSID).Perform image processing and workflows within a geospatial domain.RequirementsClearance: SecretBachelor's Degree in a relevant field or experience substitution for degreeMinimum of 3 years experience in GIS fieldMust be well versed in web protocols and languages such as: HTML, XML, AR cXML, GML and GIS software systems.Experience with scripting in VBScript, Python, Java, AML or JavaScript.Experience with relational database such as Oracle, MS SQL ServerExperience with Apache and or Tomcat a plus.Prior experience supporting Navy regional enclaves a plus.Physical And Mental QualificationsBe able to maintain awareness during scheduled working hours.Prolonged periods sitting or standing at desk and working on a computer (mouse and keyboard)Able to lift up to 15 pounds.Excellent verbal and written communication; good command of the English languageExecute tasks independently and work as a team.Learns and memories routine tasks.Strong organizational, grammar, business correspondence, and self-management skillsCandidates must be able to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily.
