Direct Support Professional
*Broadstep Behavioral Health, Inc. is searching for Direct Support Professionals!*
Broadstep Behavioral Health, Inc – IL is hiring for our program located in the *Freeport, IL* area*.*
The desired candidate will have experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities, emotional, behavioral or medical complexities. Further responsibilities include:
· Assist individuals with daily activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene and medication administration
· Provide transportation
· Document behaviors, activities and incidents
· Utilize various verbal and physical behavioral interventions
· Facilitate community involvement by accompanying individuals on outings and activities
· Be an active part of multidisciplinary team that supports therapeutic and behavioral plans in partnership with operations, clinical staff and co-workers to enhance the quality of life for those we support
*Requirements:*
· High school diploma or GED
· Must be 18 years of age
· Valid driver’s license in good standing
· Access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance if providing transportation for individuals receiving services
· Successful clearance of local and state background checks, post-offer drug screening and physical
· Capable of successfully performing physical behavior interventions
· Patience, excellent communication and basic computer skills
All candidates must successfully complete all required trainings identified in the subsidiary’s specific training curriculum prior to the start date in the program and within six months according to Broadstep’s training policies. Also, must successfully complete all components of the On-the-Job (“OJT”) Training/Onboarding Experience and yearly Continuing Education (“CE”) courses based on program/licensing/contractual requirements.
