Department Manager Manufacturing

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Assure safe workplace practices are followed andpromote safety awareness through leading by example Work with PlantManager, Superintendent, and other Supervisors to optimize productivityActively manage and reduce downtime through quick analysis of optionsand orchestrating solutions Identify opportunities and take measures toreduce waste and inefficiencies Monitor and direct QMS program andrelated processes to ensure consistency Maintain documentation fordepartment operations, disciplinary actions, Workers\' Compensation,attendance, etc. Understand and comply with applicable regulations suchas OSHA, wage and hour, and environmental Supervise, train, direct, andcoordinate work of the department\'s crew Effectively manage crew worktime and duties during production, breakdowns, and emergencies Recognizethe need and opportunity, and take action, to implement cross-trainingManage scheduled time off, unexpected absences, and modified duty ofcrew Approve timecards for payment, assuring compliance with applicableregulations and Company policy Recognize and recommend crewcommendation, corrective, disciplinary and discharge actions Participatein crew member corrective, disciplinary and discharge actions Evaluatecrew and make recommendations for awarding of job openings \*\*\*\*\*OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: 2 years lead or supervisoryexperience Millwork and/or Windows manufacturing experience Demonstratedability to lead and motivate a crew Understand vinyl/wood productmanufacturing processes with emphasis in people management Understandmachinery operations with sufficient knowledge to address bothpreventative and corrective maintenance Proven commitment to safety andCompany policy Ability to handle multiple priorities under demandingcircumstances \*\*\*\*\* APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS: Apply In Person:Sierra Pacific Windows 520 S.
