Job Position - Technical AdvisorJob Location - Denver COJob Overview: This role involves advising on solution design, vendor selection, integration strategies, security, compliance, and technology governance while ensuring that systems comply with state and federal regulations. The advisor will also manage stakeholder communication and support project oversight.Key Responsibilities:Solution Design & Vendor Selection:Advise on technology solutions aligned with CDLE’s goals.Develop high-level solution concepts and recommend vendors.Assist in RFP creation and proposal evaluation.System Integration:Develop strategies for seamless integration across systems.Coordinate with vendors and partners to ensure smooth data exchanges.Information Security:Provide guidance on security strategies and controls.Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards and regulations.Legislative & Regulatory Compliance:Ensure systems comply with applicable laws and regulations.Work with legal teams to interpret and apply new legislative requirements.Technology Governance:Recommend governance frameworks and technology standards.Participate in governance boards and advise on project portfolio management.Technology Roadmap:Maintain a technology roadmap aligned with CDLE’s long-term strategic plans.Identify emerging technologies and prioritize initiatives.Project Oversight:Oversee major technology projects, providing guidance on timelines, risks, and resources.Stakeholder Management:Liaise between vendors, implementation teams, and departments.Communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Capacity Building:Advise on staff training and knowledge transfer initiatives.Qualifications:15+ years of technology consulting/advisory experience, 10+ years in a senior role.5+ years of unemployment insurance experience with a state labor department.Expertise in solution architecture, system integration, and IT security.Familiarity with technology governance frameworks and project management.Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills.Government or public sector experience preferred.
