Director of Sales And Business Development - Manufacturing
The Sales & Business Development Director is a senior commercial leadership role responsible for driving strategic growth, expanding market presence, and building a high-performing sales organization within the North American health and wellness manufacturing sector. This executive will lead business development initiatives, oversee cross-functional commercial teams, and establish strong relationships with key MedTech OEMs and contract manufacturing partners. The role requires a balance of hands-on revenue generation and organizational leadership, with a focus on scaling a disciplined, metrics-driven commercial engine and delivering sustained, profitable growth.Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesLead and develop a high-performing sales and business development team, fostering accountability, alignment, and measurable performance outcomesDrive new business development efforts, actively engaging target customers and expanding relationships with MedTech OEMs and contract manufacturersOversee and refine the sales pipeline to ensure accuracy, visibility, and alignment with growth objectivesEstablish and execute go-to-market strategies in collaboration with marketing and supplier partnersBuild and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across purchasing, engineering, and executive leadership within customer organizationsManage forecasting, budgeting, and pricing strategies to optimize revenue growth, gross margins, and overall profitabilityOversee CRM utilization and pipeline management processes to ensure disciplined tracking and reporting of opportunitiesLead cross-functional collaboration between sales, engineering, and estimating teams to support new product development and program onboardingEvaluate and enhance organizational structure, processes, and performance across commercial functionsNegotiate complex commercial agreements, ensuring favorable terms and long-term partnership valueIdentify and capitalize on market opportunities within the medical device and health and wellness sectorsChampion a results-driven, proactive culture with a strong focus on execution and continuous improvementQualificationsMinimum of five years of experience selling to MedTech OEMs or contract manufacturers within the North American health and wellness industryDemonstrated experience in technical sales within a custom manufacturing or product assembly environmentProven leadership experience managing sales teams and cross-functional commercial groups, including sales, engineering, and estimatingHands-on experience with budgeting, forecasting, CRM pipeline management, and pricing/quoting processesExperience within custom or contract manufacturing environments producing disposable medical devices or componentsBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related fieldExperience working within ISO-regulated, FDA, or cGMP manufacturing environments preferredDemonstrated ability to develop and leverage strategic supplier partnershipsExperience contributing to or leading go-to-market strategy development and execution preferredStrong negotiation skills with the ability to structure profitable agreementsExcellent communication and presentation skills across technical and commercial audiencesHigh energy, results-oriented mindset with a proactive, action-driven approachStrong analytical, organizational, and time management capabilitiesAbility to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detailForward-thinking mindset with the ability to anticipate and plan next stepsHigh level of integrity, reliability, and professional accountability
