About the RoleWe’re building a mission-driven healthtech platform focused on improving access to pediatric therapy for neurodiverse children while removing administrative burden for therapists. This is a founding CTO role for someone who wants to build from zero, make architectural decisions that matter, and help shape the company at the earliest stage.The role can be performed fully remotely, but we prefer candidates based in Southern California to allow for occasional in-person collaboration.We’re looking for an experienced, hands-on engineer who is excited to work in ambiguity, move fast, and build something meaningful that has real-world impact on families and clinicians.What You’ll DoTake ownership of an early MVP and scale it into a production-grade platform Build and iterate on a HIPAA compliant marketplace platformDesign and implement backend systems for scheduling, messaging, payments, and document handlingLeverage AI thoughtfully to improve workflows (scheduling, documentation, automation)Work closely with founders on product decisions, roadmap, and technical tradeoffsEstablish engineering best practices (security, scalability, CI/CD)Prepare the platform for future growth, compliance, and fundraising diligenceRequired Experience:Strong experience building production-grade applications end-to-endDeep proficiency with modern JavaScript/TypeScript ecosystemsHands-on experience with:React / Next.jsReact Native (Expo preferred)Backend-as-a-Service or Postgres-backed systemsStrong understanding of API design, authentication, and data modelingExperience integrating third-party services (payments, messaging, auth)Ability to think longterm and outside the boxPreferred Experience: Experience building HIPAA-compliant or healthcare-adjacent applicationsExperience building marketplace platformsStartup or early-stage company experienceFamiliarity with:Supabase (Postgres, Auth, Storage, Edge Functions)StripeStreamChatVercel GitHub + CI/CD workflowsExperience applying AI to real workflowsCompensation & StructureThis is an equity-first roleCash compensation will be limited or deferred initiallySignificant ownership and long-term upside Founder-level influence over product, architecture, and company directionIf you care about:Building something greatOwning what you buildTurning ambiguity into executionSolving problems We’d love to talk.
