We are unable to provide sponsorship at this moment".Job Title: Workforce AnalystLocation: Hybrid - Tucson, AZ 85706Duration: 12 monthsPay rate: $44/hr on W2Job Description: Role Overview:We are seeking Workforce Scheduling & Capacity Planning Analysts to support a high-volume, rapidly scaling expert network. The team is responsible for forward-looking workforce scheduling and capacity execution, ensuring sufficient staffing coverage to meet customer demand two or more weeks into the future.This role combines day-to-day scheduling execution, exception management, operational analysis, reporting, and cross-functional coordination. Success requires exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical judgment, comfort working within highly controlled processes, and the ability to use technology and AI to work efficiently.Key Responsibilities:Execute high-volume workforce scheduling activities within the organization's scheduling platform.Process inbound scheduling exception requests, including schedule changes, sick-time adjustments, no-call/no-show situations, project time, and other approved exceptions.Apply detailed SOPs and scheduling parameters consistently to ensure staffing remains within approved capacity and budget.Validate scheduling work and independently double-check outputs for accuracy before completion.Monitor schedule adherence and identify deviations from planned working hours.Analyze operational shrinkage, including absence and non-productive time, and reconcile actual results against workforce plans.Conduct coverage-gap analysis to identify periods of overstaffing or understaffing and determine the underlying drivers.Monitor exception-request trends and identify patterns requiring operational or service-delivery intervention.Prepare weekly scheduling packages and handoffs for Real-Time Operations, documenting expected staffing conditions and actions required two or more weeks ahead.Partner with planners, Real-Time Operations, service delivery, finance, and other stakeholders to communicate findings and resolve capacity or scheduling issues.Support a rolling planning process by comparing forecasted conditions with actual outcomes and incorporating learnings into future schedules.Use bulk-upload processes and automation to efficiently execute large volumes of scheduling changes.Leverage AI tools to accelerate analysis, documentation, problem-solving, query development, and other day-to-day work.Additional Responsibilities — Reporting/Technical TrackThe reporting-focused position carries additional technical and analytical responsibilities, including:Connect to and extract information from enterprise data sources and the data warehouse.Develop and maintain dashboards and operational reporting.Write, modify, or generate SQL queries and Python-based automation scripts as needed.Work with tools such as Databricks and GitHub to execute and manage queries and automation.Use AI tools such as Claude or Gemini to assist with query and script development.Translate operational questions into meaningful datasets, analyses, dashboards, and actionable insights.Identify opportunities to automate repetitive scheduling and reporting processes.Required Qualifications:2+ years of relevant professional experience in workforce management, workforce scheduling, capacity planning, operations analysis, or a closely related field.Experience working with workforce management, scheduling, planning, or similar operational software.Strong attention to detail and ability to execute accurately within highly structured processes.Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving mindset, including the habit of validating and checking work.Ability to interpret and follow detailed SOPs, business rules, and capacity constraints.Strong organizational skills and ability to manage high-volume operational workloads.Ability to analyze trends, reconcile actual versus planned performance, and communicate findings clearly.Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with significant fluctuations in staffing demand.Willingness and ability to use AI and automation tools as part of everyday work.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with workforce platforms such as NICE, Aspect, or similar WFM solutions.Experience supporting flexible, gig-based, or self-service workforce models.Experience in an environment with significant seasonal or demand-driven workforce fluctuations.Exposure to Python, SQL, automation, data visualization, or dashboard development.Experience with Databricks, GitHub, or comparable data/automation environments.Experience using AI tools to improve operational efficiency and analytical workflows.Experience in customer operations, contact centers, healthcare, fintech, technology, or other high-volume operational environments.Ideal Candidate Profile:The ideal candidate is an analytical, highly detail-oriented operator who can manage repetitive, high-volume scheduling work without sacrificing accuracy. They are comfortable working within strict parameters, proactively validate their own work, and naturally look for ways to improve processes through automation and AI.Candidates with experience supporting highly flexible or volatile workforces—particularly environments that rapidly scale up and down—will be especially valuable. Experience with a specific industry is less important than transferable workforce-management expertise, operational rigor, and the ability to learn and solve problems quickly.Work Schedule:Standard shifts may vary based on business needs, generally within 6:00 AM–6:00 PM.Potential shift examples include 6:00 AM–3:00 PM, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM, or 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.Weekend coverage is expected during peak season, potentially including at least one weekend day per week and occasional partial-day coverage.Peak-season scheduling may require increased onsite presence and schedule flexibility.Interview Process:Round 1: Interview with the hiring manager and a workforce planning/scheduling team member, focused on scheduling experience, operational judgment, analytical ability, and relevant experience.Round 2: Interview with the hiring manager and an additional senior leader and/or technical subject-matter expert.The technical/reporting track may include additional questions related to SQL, Python, automation, data analysis, dashboards, and AI-assisted problem solving.No formal take-home case study is expected; candidates should be prepared to discuss relevant experience and provide examples of how they have solved operational and analytical problems.About ASK: ASK Consulting is an award-winning technology and professional services recruiting firm servicing Fortune 500 organizations nationally.
