Join our paid PCA Trainee Program on June 8th, 2026.Interviews will be held onsite on April 30th 11:30 to 3:30pm.Paid Training Program begins: Monday June 8th 2026Must be able to commit to the entire duration of the training program without scheduling conflictsMust be seeking 24 hours or moreThe training program is paid, no childcare providedUnder the direction of a Registered Nurse, the PCA will:Aid in activities of daily living (personal hygiene/grooming, bathing, toileting, dressing, feeding, turning/repositioning, sanitizing areas and equipment, etc.)Ensure a safe and compassionate environment for patientsDocument aspects of care on approved forms/electronic medical recordsObtain and record vital signsCollect specimenRespond to patient and family requestsAssist with equipment preparationSupport an efficient operation of the unit, and remotely monitor the safety of multiple patients at a time, utilizing a continuous virtual monitoring systemThis training program includes:Weeks 1-2 - BWH orientation and PCA Training at the Center of Nursing Excellence at One Brigham Circle in BostonWeeks 3- 6 - In person, unit based skills/clinical trainingEmployment as a Patient Care Associate at BWH immediatelyQualificationsEducationHigh School Diploma or Equivalent preferredCan this role accept experience in lieu of a degree?NoLicenses and CredentialsBasic Life Support [BLS] - Generic - HR Only preferred Certified Medical Assistant [National Certification] - Generic - HR Only preferred Nursing Assistant/Patient Care Technician [National Certification] - Generic - HR Only preferredExperienceExperience working in patient care/elder care 0-1 year preferredKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesAbility to understand and follow written and oral instructions.Knowledge of medical terminology.Strong patient/customer service skills.Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.Proficient in computer skills to work efficiently with electronic medical records.Additional Job Details (if applicable)Remote TypeOnsiteWork Location75 Francis StreetPay Range* /HourlyGrade3At Mass General Brigham, we believe in recognizing and rewarding the unique value each team member brings to our organization.
