Job Description: Medical Assistant (80% Administrative Focus) We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant with strong administrative skills and a passion for people. This role is primarily administrative (80%), focusing on patient communication, Laboratory Relationships, Procedure Scheduling, & clinic operations. The remaining 20% involves supporting clinical tasks within the scope of certification. As the primary point of contact between patients and the clinic, you will ensure smooth communication and provide high-quality service. You will play a key role in curating the patient experience, from assisting with supplements to coordinating their care. We are looking for someone with exceptional interpersonal skills, who thrives on connecting with others and is highly self-motivated. Your strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, and customer-focused approach will contribute to the seamless operation of the clinic and the overall well-being of our patients. Requisite: HIPPA Certified or MOA certificate CMA Licensure 1 Year experience as a Medical Assistant Google Suite / Mac proficient Resume and Cover must be emailed to be considered for this role Strong understanding of medical insurance coverage ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, RESPONSIBILITIES, EXPECTATION: 1. Familiarize yourself with each patient and their scheduled treatment to be fully prepared to assist the doctor or nurse. 2. Be present at the clinic 3-5 days a week from 8:15 AM to 5:30 PM with a 1-hour lunch break, for 32-40 hours of clinic time. 3. Prepare examination rooms for patients, record patient history, obtain vital signs, and document in the medical chart. 4. Record and direct all clinical questions and suggestions to the patient’s physician or registered nurse. 5. Manage all test kits, lab samples, patient results, and prior authorizations. 6. Assist physicians with physical examinations, prepare patients for procedures, carry out physicians’ orders within the scope of certification, and assist with clinic cleanup, including daily disinfecting of equipment. 7. Prepare and administer IM and subcutaneous injections, assist with discontinuing butterfly IV lines when schedule allows, and perform other minor clinical procedures within scope of certification. 8. Maintain clinic flow and operations as directed. 9. Provide superior customer service to patients during therapies. 10. Prepare patient-ordered supplements and medications accurately. 11. Instruct patients according to physician orders. 12. Provide customer service by answering incoming calls, offering information for new patient inquiries, and sending out information packets to prospective patients. 13. Act as a patient educator, helping explain treatment plans after or between visits under the doctor’s direct orders. 14. Document in medical records according to clinic protocols, ensuring all documentation is completed by the end of each day. 15. Cross-train to perform all front office procedures and assume these duties as needed. 16. Ensure cost-effective use of office products and supplies. 17. Participate in seminars or training as required.
