PM Controls Engineer

Job Title: PM Controls Engineer (Functional Lead)Location: Chicago, IL or Elizabethtown, PA (Onsite, Mon Fri)Type: Contract (6 12 Months | Start ASAP)Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced PM Controls Engineer (Functional Lead) to lead automation and process improvement projects within a manufacturing environment. This role will be responsible for driving end-to-end project execution, including system installation, integration, and delivery of complex process equipment.The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in controls engineering, project management, and GMP-regulated environments, with a proven track record of delivering automation projects successfully.Key ResponsibilitiesLead automation project workstreams from planning through execution and deliveryOversee installation and integration of process equipment, including motors, valves, and production systemsManage on-site contractors and vendors, ensuring timelines and quality standards are metReview and approve technical designs, ensuring seamless system integrationCoordinate with cross-functional stakeholders including Engineering, Operations, and Quality teamsTrack and manage project budgets, schedules, and deliverablesEnsure compliance with GMP and regulatory requirementsTroubleshoot and resolve issues related to controls and automation systemsRequired QualificationsBachelor s degree in Electrical, Controls, or related Engineering fieldProven experience leading automation and controls projects in manufacturing environmentsHands-on experience with Rockwell and Siemens PLC systemsStrong knowledge of electrical systems and controls engineering principlesExperience working in GMP-regulated environmentsStrong project management, communication, and leadership skills
