We’re proud to provide our high-quality, comprehensive depression education and suicide prevention curriculum to school districts across the country, at zero cost. Addressing our youth mental health crisis requires collective action. Following our Four Pillar Philosophy, the Erika’s Lighthouse curriculum includes classroom education, empowerment clubs, family engagement, and policy and staff training. Best of all, every program is available to busy educators on our website in just a few clicks. Role Description The Digital Designer & Content Coordinator will support the organization’s growing educational resource, design, and digital communication needs. This role combines graphic design, educational resource production, limited social media support, and digital content coordination to help strengthen audience engagement and brand consistency. This part-time hybrid role reports to the Marketing Manager and is based in Winnetka, IL with one in-office day per week. The hourly rate starts at $25/hr and will be based on experience.Core Competencies Creativity + Visual Storytelling: The ability to communicate ideas clearly and effectively through visual design and digital content.Organization + Project Management: The ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities with strong attention to detail.Collaboration: The ability to work effectively across teams and contribute positively within a collaborative environment.Adaptability: The ability to adjust quickly to changing priorities and organizational needs.Technical Design Expertise: The ability to demonstrate proficiency in graphic design tools and digital content platforms.ResponsibilitiesGraphic Design + Educational Resource Production (50%)Design educational PDFs, classroom resources, presentations, and marketing materialsSupport visual consistency across print and digital materialsMaintain and organize Canva templates and branded design systemsSupport annual report, fundraising, and campaign-related design projectsWork closely with Director of Program Operations to ensure designs meet accessibility guidelinesDigital Content Support (35%)Support website and HubSpot content updates as neededHelp strengthen visual storytelling and audience engagement across digital channelsSocial Media Support (15%)Leverage AI for social media content creation, coordination, scheduling, and publishingCreate social media graphics and digital content assetsExperience/Qualifications3+ years of professional graphic design and/or digital marketing experience preferredExpert proficiency in Canva requiredExperience supporting organizational social media accounts preferredHubSpot experience preferredStrong visual design, organization, and communication skillsDependability, good time management and organizational skills, and attentiveness to detailAn innovative mindset that is continuously seeking creative solutionsAbility to work strategically within a team structure as well as independentlyExperience working within nonprofit, education, or mission-driven organizations preferredAt least one day a week in our offices based in Winnetka, IL.
